Media

This media page provides factual information, images, and stories that reflect the people, families, and communities connected to Oregon’s crab fishery. From working vessels to shoreside support, these resources help illustrate the economic, cultural, and community impact of this industry.

Why Timely Reporting Matters

A deceased whale was documented by one of our members before it washed ashore two days later. It took four calls to find someone willing to accept the report. Without that persistence to help protect our industry’s reputation, the narrative could have unfolded very differently — and likely for the worse.

This raises an important question: how often does this happen?
